Moderne Istanbul-Karte

I’m a bit of an architecture buff, so seeing Brutalist and Rationalist buildings mapped out alongside contemporary works was a real treat. The bilingual labels make it easy to share with friends who don’t read Turkish.

Folded it open over coffee this morning, and Özlem Balcı Öztürk’s introduction really sets the tone for the architectural tour. The bilingual map makes it easy to navigate between neighborhoods without guessing street names.

The bilingual layout is a thoughtful touch—I can share it with my Turkish friends without them struggling through English. The introduction by Özlem Balcı Öztürk gives real context to the architectural styles, and the photography makes me want to book a flight immediately.
