Ilford Delta 400 120 Film

Took some portraits on an overcast afternoon and the tonal range handled the gray light beautifully, skin tones stayed smooth without losing texture. The fine grain at 400 is exactly why I keep coming back to this stock, shadows hold detail that cheaper films blow out.

Finally got to push this through a roll of medium format and the fine grain at 400 is exactly what I needed for some moody outdoor shots. The wide exposure latitude saved me on a few frames where I completely misjudged the light, and they still printed beautifully.

The tonal range on this is just gorgeous for portraits, and the fine grain holds up beautifully even when I push it a stop during development. My scanner finally does it justice, and the wide exposure latitude means I don't have to sweat the metering as much as I do with other rolls.
