100 Masterpieces of Design

The photography in this book is superb, and I love how it draws from over 8,000 pieces in the collection. It’s the kind of volume that makes me want to flip through one page per night.

Starting with the Pompidou's early-90s founding, this book gives you a real sense of how design evolved across decades, not just a list of pretty objects. The breadth of over 200 designers packed into one volume is incredible value, and I keep flipping back to it for fresh inspiration.

The Pompidou’s 8,000-plus pieces are distilled here into a tight, curated hundred, so it’s a fast tour that still feels deep. I flipped straight to the lesser-known 1990s entries and found a few new favorites I’d never seen in other books.
