Kentmere Pan 400 35mm

This stuff is sharp as hell for the price—I've shot it in mixed lighting and the tonal range holds up beautifully. ISO 400 handles most of my handheld shots without a flash, and the grain stays surprisingly fine for a budget stock.

I burned through a roll at a dim indoor show and the ISO 400 held up beautifully—shadows stayed detailed without getting muddy. The panchromatic response gives a nice, natural tonal range that scans well. This is my new everyday stock for sure.

Developed this at box speed and the tonal range really surprised me for a budget roll — deep blacks without losing detail in the shadows. Thirty-six frames goes fast when you're having fun, so I've already ordered more.
